Hi Mia I'm new to the group and went to my first RAV group run tonight in Kentville. Only a turnout of 3 runners including myself. Is there still a group running Monday nights? If so I might check it out.
Cheers
Walter
Hi Mia,
It was great meeting you! Thanks for going slow with me! :)
If you're considering the Nike Women's Marathon next year, the lottery registration starts the first of March and continues for about 2 weeks. I said I run in Nike shoes and use the Nike+ - not sure if that helped get me in but you never know with that company!
I will probably be running in Wolfville on Monday evening, but earlier - around 5:30 PM and I'll plan to do 9km loop, than swim at 7 PM. Cycling is reserved for Tuesday nights for this lady - the Tuesday night rides are a key workout and I'm so excited to get the bike off the trainer and on the road!
I had a blast taking the NCCP Triathlon Coaching course last weekend and have a ton of new resources.....for anyone looking to train for triathlon I have some info on some upcoming clinics and am able to help with putting together training plans, especilly for beginners. I've been coaching swimmers and teaching adults to become swimmers for years so if anyone is looking for guidance or info they can give me a call (582-1600) or email: reads@ns.sympatico.ca. Caroline Whitby and myself are getting our Wolfville Kids of Steel and Adult Try-A-Tri back on the race calendar - Sunday, July 19th as part of the Mud Creek Days. It's a family event with options for everyone, including a "Splash & Dash" for those without a bike, and relays for every age group.
If anyone wants to run earlier on Monday, I'll be leaving from Acadia Athletic Complex and finishing with some drills on the track if they've opened it by then.
it's been tough. First I had pain in my back and hip. Got that under control with chiropractic treatment from Ward macdonald who is a running coach. After last sunday's long run -25 k - which is behind my training schedule- developed a cold- feel very tired.- feeling every one of my 63 years, However, not ready to throw in the towel yet.
